Through the longstanding collaboration between the Martin Luther University, Halle, Germany and Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, we aimed to support student’s research conduct both technically and financially.

Specific objectives of the project related to this call:

• Capacitate student’s research in the field of cancer using joint supervision from Martin Luther University, Halle, Germany, and Addis Ababa University.
• Establish capacity in dissemination of research findings to the scientific audience, educator, the general public, media and policy makers in order to inform public policy and promote cancer prevention and control in the country so that be an expert on the field of cancer research.

The project wishes to announce the 2022/2023 master’s thesis research grant support for Addis Ababa University graduate students registered in a master’s degree program.

Eligibility Criteria and Application Procedure for Thesis Research Awards

Graduate students are eligible to apply for this award provided:

• They are graduate students registered at Addis Ababa university
• They have completed all course requirements for the degree
• They have not received any other funding to support their thesis activities
• The field of their proposal falls within the broad thematic areas of cancer
• A one-page concept notes of their research focus and description of the plan of work

• A curriculum vitae.
